The two primary organizations responsible for producing theater at the Air Force Academy are the Bluebards Theater Troupe and Rattex. Both are cadet clubs that provide an essential cultural and leadership experience to cadets through experience with the arts. Due to the nature of these clubs as federal entities, they are unable to solicit for donations on their own. The cadets' ability to participate in theatrical arts depends on contributions from alumni, family, and friends to keep cadet theater alive.

Bluebards produces 2-3 theatrical performances per year for the USAFA community at the Arnold Hall Theater. These performances are free to the public and are planned, directed, and performed by cadets in their off-duty hours.

The Bluebards organization is primarily run by a board of cadets elected from the club at large. This board, led by an elected president, is responsible for selecting the shows for the year and handling the logistics required for the production of those shows. The club is then overseen by an Officer-in-Charge (OIC), who is a staff member of the Air Force Academy. The OIC is responsible for mentoring cadets and carrying out administrative functions for the organization.

Rattex is the cadet-run theater tech group at the Air Force Academy. These cadets not only support Bluebards, but almost every other event that happens on the Arnold Hall Stage. Rattex works tirelessly to make sure productions run without a hitch, balancing stage management, backdrops, lights, sound effects, and audio to help produce professional-quality theater. These cadets learn invaluable technical and organizational skills while practicing peer leadership and quick decision-making responding to the rapidly-changing environment of live theater. Additionally, Rattex cadets are encouraged to participate in set design and construction, balancing practicality with artistic vision.
